Forest Reindeer

Galloping at full speed between the trees and over the meadow covered hills full of pansies and daisies..... stopping at the lake, drinking fresh cool crystal clear water......eyes dart from side to side, then once again into an elegant canter......antlers swaying with beautiful flowers and leaves just like a garland. That special pink nose, matching the roses and bubblegum pink tail there was a forest reindeer.....

Passion time. I first sketched out some forest reindeer as I called them. Just like a normal reindeer but with different features. Antlers festooned,  and different coloured noses, tails ...... I will make them into a picture and paint it but first I need to finish my dog painting.

A couple of weeks ago I traced a dog from my book and made it into a painting. I have just recently finished the grass but I need to add lilac, yellow etc. for the flowers because I think it will attract the eye. It's starting to look really good and I'm proud - but I'm even prouder of finishing my affective study!

This morning I finally finished my Jock Paget affective study and I'm really happy with the conclusion. I have presented it on Prezi not a poster board. And I'm glad I did it online because it looks pretty good. It was the last session today to finish it and I was panicking I wouldn't get there,  but I did and thats good. "Whew" I hope you enjoyed my blog post and have a great day! :)

It Travelled

It left marks in the sand and trailed on. It travelled from Facebook to Twitter, TradeMe to Blogs. It trudged on even after my life-time. It would be alive forever.

My Digital Footprint.

My digital footprint is a symbol for internet safety. Like not sharing any personal details like you full name, address, number etc. We leant all about that this afternoon. Nicola told my group that your digital footprint begins before you were born and after you die.

What is A Digital Footprint???

A footprint on the internet is a file that keeps track of everything you do online. Like if you signed up to Youtube it might come up with these series of questions...

*Name-
  Surname-
*Online Name-             (the name of your account)
*Email-
 Address-        (possibly)
 Birthdate-

But you don't want to share too much. Too much information can be dangerous. Other people can track you down if you share you number and/or address.

Today I learnt lots of information including that a digital footprint actually exists,  and furthermore, it carries on after you die and before you were born. DO NOT share personal information and be careful on the internet.

Thanks for reading!

My Partner In Crime

My partner in crime stood beside me as we looked upon the sparkling jewels in envy. The hammer in my hand made contact with the window as we made a run for it, grabbing as many gems as we could...

Just kidding! But Ali and I are having some mysterious ideas for some new art! Ali thought up a great plan! At Christmas we are going to go around the streets by Enrich and face painting kids faces with Rudolf and elves etc. $2 per child and of course were still going to sell our art... somehow.

I've also started to paint a little dog standing in a beautiful spring meadow. I got the idea through my book I got called Painting Techniques. It's come in handy to us a few times! I think our project is coming along great and I'm really excited!

Bye! :)

Syria

The wind was subtle as the sun gleamed through the fingerprint covered windows. My fellow artist splattered paint beside as I swiped my brush...

Today for Passion Time Ali and I carried on with our art creations. For pattern workshops we are recreating Claude Monet paintings. He paints ponds with overgrown plants and lily pads with a bridge in it and he paints it over and over again. So I recreated that for passion time because I thought I did it quite good. I also managed to complete a horse painting and now we have 5 pieces in two weeks to sell! We might donate it to Syria or Green Peace but we haven't decided yet. I think it will be a success! :)

The Petition

My hands tapped the keyboard. Words flowed across the digital page. The lights were off and the black room became overflowed with ideas as I typed on my silver laptop...

The last patterns workshop! The fun had only begun but its come to the end so quickly. I am writing a story about a dog named Toby (after my horse Toby!) and he can talk and I am on chapter three. It has been really fun going out around town to get ideas especially with out own notebooks! The writer do not want it to end and are going to start a petition!

  My Gifted Person

This morning we did some research on our gifted person. I brought my iPad to do some Pic Collages and designs for my presentation. I am doing Jock Paget a famous kiwi horse event rider. I am presenting it on a poster board and I'm really excited!

Badminton

I swiped my pen across the white page. My finger creased around the red felt as it drew a jump. The light from the colossal sun flickered across the room as I drew my mind map...

Today with Darryn we drew our mind maps for a project were doing about someone we think is gifted and intelligent. I am doing Jock Paget, a famous kiwi horse rider who competes in national and international shows. He was the winner of the 2012 Badminton Horse Trials. On my mind map I wrote about dressage, show jumping, turnout and of course his beloved horses. Mind mapping is about thinking and letting ideas flow across the page. We also watched a video of Tony Buzan. He was talking about how important the mind is and how we need to let ideas fly.

I hope you had a good week so far! Bye!

The Next Stage

The scratch of the knife cut the zebra as the sun suddenly was blocked by dark gloomy clouds...

Art time!!!! Today we worked hard on our lino prints. My zebra was splattered by paint as I spread the blue musky colour around the background. We need to make ten one colour backgrounds then cut out the base. THEN we need to paint out main feature another colour. In my case a zebra. Cutting out the base took all of my time because it was very fiddly. But I am almost on the next stage which is painting my zebra.
