The pencil dashed around as we started on our apple sketches. The scent of fresh paint hovered in the air as I stared at the apple on the plate in front of me.
The curves of the apple were the trickiest piece to draw. After practicing in our work-books we moved onto a piece of quality paper. We were handed our ice cream lids to mix our paint on after we sketched our apples and plates.
For the background, we decided the best colour would be a dark grey. The clock struck 10:30 am as we were working on our drawings. The blazing sun blasted through the windows as my paintbrush stroked up and down.
My colours merged together as I made a light brown for my stalk of my apple. Our shadows danced on the floor as Darryn showed us a video of a man painting an apple scene. I have not quite completed my painting yet but it was loads of fun.
BYE!!! :)
Hi my name is Emily and I go to Enrich on a Wednesday. What is Enrich? It's a school for gifted children where you learn things that will challenge you in a different way to your normal school. It's where you meet and work with people with a similar mind to you.

Art
Kia Ora blog readers!
Today for art we were painting again. We were painting from dark to light today, and I did blue and red. Darryn said that it would be good practice for next week because we are painting landscapes! Yay! Side strokes are the best for art in this case, meaning when you are painting it's better to brush one way then all over the place eg. up and down.

We also did a rotation of Keynote and P4C. My first rotation was Keynote with Katie. She showed us a keynote she made before her sisters wedding and it had photos of when she was a baby and when she had a mullet! Then we made a slideshow about ourselves including our dislikes, our hobbies, the places we want to go and likes. I learnt how you slow down automatic slides, how to fade a photo and lots more!

Talent Development = Art
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a good Easter! :)
Today we got started on passion time or talent development. I opted into art talent development with Darryn. We focused on the basic primary colours which are red, yellow and blue and we mixed them together to get colours such as green, purple, orange and many more. We hope the outcome would be to put on an exhibition at a art gallery.I went into art because I would like to try something different and I do art quite a lot and I like to draw and paint in my free time.
