Eyeball Dissection And Piggy Bank Painting

EYE DISSECTION
Last week in the must do's and picks, there was animal rights, egg drop and eyeball dissection. I did, eye dissection which was so much fun! I learnt the parts of the eye like the aqueous, the sclera the iris, the retina and so much more! First we learnt about the eye itself which is the iris and the parts I just told you. Darryn told us that we all have a blind spot at the back of our eye! If you rub your fingers beside you eyes you really can't see them but you know that its there. When we were actually dissecting the eye itself we learnt more about the anatomy of the eye. Like, your cornea is actually very strong and tough so it is very hard to cut. Afterwards we had to fill out an anatomy of an eye.

PIGGY BANK PAINTING

A few weeks ago we made a piggy bank with Marie Washbourne. First we made two balls of clay and then we made then hollow and joined them together. Afterwards we decorated them with eyes and legs and that, Marie took them home and baked them in a special oven. When the piggy banks got back we painted them, I did a horse. I painted it brown with a black mane, tail and feet. I gave it light blue and dark blue eyes and a pink muzzle and ears. I also wrote Toby on the side without the mane because I made it look like my horse Toby so I wrote his name on the side with a white blaze down his face. It was super fun.
